SteadyChat ("we," "our") operates the website at steadychat.info (the "Service"). This policy describes what data we collect, why, and your choices regarding that data.

• Account data — email address and display name provided at sign-up or via third-party login (e.g. Google).
• Usage data — messages and files you submit to AI models through the Service, conversation history, and session metadata.
• Saved memory — optional facts and preferences that the Service may retain to personalize future chats. You can review, edit, disable, or delete saved memory from the app.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, access timestamps, and pages viewed, collected automatically for security and diagnostics.
• Payment data — transaction and subscription details. We do not store credit card numbers; payments are processed by third-party providers.

How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Reuse saved memory you keep enabled across future chats.
• Manage your account and respond to support requests.
• Process transactions and subscriptions.
• Ensure security, prevent fraud, and debug technical issues.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help operate the Service (hosting, analytics, payment processing), under contractual confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

AI Models and Third Parties

When you send a message, your input is transmitted to the selected third-party AI model provider to generate a response. SteadyChat is independent of and not affiliated with any AI model provider. AI outputs may be inaccurate and should not be relied upon for professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions.

We use OpenAI models via the OpenAI API and other models through the Vercel AI Gateway. As stated by these providers, data sent through their APIs is not used to train models. For details, see OpenAI's data usage policy and Vercel's AI policy.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. Non-essential cookies (analytics, performance) are only set with your consent. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention and Security

We retain personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal requirements. We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Your Rights

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before automatic purging.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have, we will promptly delete it.

Changes

We may revise this policy and will post the updated version here with a new date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
